Alona Tal

Alona Tal is an Israeli-American actress and singer. She was born in Herzliya on the 20th of October 1983. She started her career after she was in the Israeli Defense Forces. In 2003, she appeared in an Israeli film. It was her biggest breakthrough. At the time she also played in two TV shows in the country. She was also a musician and recorded a number of songs together with Israeli rapper Subliminal. Tal relocated with her sister in New York to take a break from her career. There, she collaborated with Haitian artist Wyclef Jean in the song "Party to Damascus". American television also helped her establish herself, starting with a recurring role on the TV show Veronica Mars. She initially tried out for the role of lead but creator Rob Thomas created a new character for her. Then, Tal was offered a regular role in the CBS series. Before going to New York, Tal starred in two Israeli television series. Wyclef Jean was her singing partner. Her mother tongue is Hebrew. Second in the competition for the role as Veronica Mars (2004). The auditions were initially unsuccessful, and she was Rob Thomas' second choice. Thomas loved her so much he created the role of Meg Manning specifically for her. She was a member of the Israel Defense Forces. Both of her parents are Jewish The father of her is a Turkish/Jewish man, and her mother is Polish/Jewish. She portrays Adrian Monk's spouse, who was killed in the last episode of Monk (2002).
