Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
who previously worked as TV correspondent for ABC News. She is famous for her
tenure as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend from 2015 to 2018, and in
her role as co-host on The View from 2015 to 2018. In the past, she anchors
World News Now and America This Morning. After graduating, she worked in
several communications-related jobs including an operations position at
Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. The position she held was in sales
for radio, due to limited television opportunities. Then she was able to work
for a year as a production assistant at WKEF/WRGT and later occasionally anchor
and report. She was the weekend anchor for WCPO TV in Cincinnati as well as the
anchor for weekdays for WCPO TV in Cincinnati from 2002 until 2005. She became
a reporter for sports at NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV from November 2005
until December 2011, after her contract ended. She was recruited by ABC News
the news division in the month of December. The 2nd of January, 2012, she made
her debut on the network's World News Now and America This Morning. She also
appeared as a fill-in on Good Morning America as well as an anchor. Later she
was promoted as an New York-based reporter on the entire ABC News programs. The
program was not able for her to finish the final episode of World News Now or
America This Morning. The show aired on January 22nd the 22nd of January 2013.
She made her debut on Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor, the 9th of
August, 2014. This was after Bianna Golodryga moved to Yahoo! News. News. On
August 3 in 2016 it was announced they had renewed her contract for the
twentieth season. Season 21 was also the first season she was renewed as
co-host. In the 21st and 22nd seasons, she was mostly on the program's Friday
episodes.
